Columbia County 4-H Project S.A.F.E.  Shotgun Team

In 2002 Columbia County 4-H began their Project S.A.F.E. Club.  They began with 10 young men, each sharing in their love of the outdoors and shooting.  The 2010 Shotgun Team was comprised of 86 young men and women!!  Obviously, thru the past years, this special interest 4-H club has grown tremendously! Each year, Columbia County's 4-H Shotgun Team has won numerous Area/District and State level awards.  In 2008, Columbia County won the 1st Place State Team!! But through the years, Columbia County's 7 man/woman teams have dominated both the Senior and Junior levels. 

Columbia County's team is comprised of youths from 7 high schools and 8 middle schools in Columbia County, 2 schools in neighboring counties, and numerous home schooled students. Each year we have continued to grow and learn.  We have completed community service projects and are seeking suggestions for any new projects. 

Our financial support comes from national, state, and local donations and we hold one fundraiser, which is a shotgun raffle.  Some of our continuing sponsors are:
